This diary features still lifes from the National Gallery's collection, showing world-famous works by artists such as Melendez, Zurburan and Van Gogh alongside still-life details from other masterpieces - the sturdy viola and bow from Vermeer's "A Young Woman Seated at a Virginal", for example.
