My name is Te-Ri. I live in a huge spaceship. According to my history lessons, my ancestors once lived on a pretty little planet lazily circling a small star. They say our planet once had lush green valleys, fertile prairies, deep blue seas, vast deserts and high mountains. I wouldn’t know about that. All I have ever seen are some drawings. But, I’m sure it was beautiful.Unfortunately, when my ancestors were living on the planet, they did not appreciate the simple beauty of it. They were more interested in fighting among themselves and making money. They exploited the natural resources and managed to pollute the air.The pollution became so bad that it started to effect the atmosphere. A small hole opened up in the level of the atmosphere that protected the planet from the harmful rays of the sun. The area under the hole was devastated and became uninhabitable. Scientists warned my ancestors that they were going to ruin the entire planet if they continued polluting the atmosphere. They continued anyway. In an effort to save as many people as possible, a group of scientists secretly built three huge spaceships to carry as many people as possible to safety. I now live on one of those spaceships. Our mission is to find some other suitable, and uninhabited, planet to live on.
