This collection is exclusively devoted to guidelines or decisions relating to the environment which, while generally accepted, are still in the process of further development but are nonetheless acknowledged to be at least morally binding: so-called "soft law". This rapidly developing body is extremely hard to keep up with, but must be taken into consideration when developing new legal instruments. This work has been designed to fill the need for a regularly updated compilation of soft-law developments. It should not only be of help to practitioners in the field, but will also enable students to follow step by step the developments in the decisions-making process, from the "moral" obligations to the binding instrument.
