'It was like the beginning of a bad joke: a Russian, Irishman, Highlander, half-breed Indian and a North-Easter sat around a bar in mid-November in a dying place.' And so, in a West Highland seaport, the Wolfclaw clan is born: an unlikely group of Eco-warriors who draw their inspiration from the wolf, a creature which was hunted to extinction yet was always loyal, protective and communal. Exiles all, in a sense, they embark on a series of symbolic acts. When the powers that be finally catch up with them, and they realise their time is running out, Wolfclaw decide on a parting shot. But can their actions make any difference? And did Macqueen really kill the last wolf in Scotland? This is a modern fable set in Scotland and has been described by one Scottish literary academic as...'Hamish Macbeth meets Iain Banks...but that's no bad thing.'
