The growth of wine sales through supermarkets may have been a good thing in many ways, but it has meant that we often drink wines that are still too young. The way round this is to store wine, thus improving its taste and value. In this guide, wine journalist Jon Thorn shows how to create a wine cellar under the bed, in the wardrobe or the garage, or even under the floorboards, so that wine can be kept in the smallest flat. He explains how to organize a cellar, and includes some famous examples. He also recommends 250 good-value wines for laying down, and some 23 different suppliers.
