If given the chance, would you alter a moment in time? If you could modify events, would you take the initiative to change a wrong to a right? These are the questions that Maria Moretti is facing in the summer of 1951. The story opens in a horrific Nazi concentration camp where you are introduced to a brave survivor, Sarah Nowak. Years later, she passes on a mysterious book to Maria Moretti on a bus heading to Jones Beach. Moretti must decide whether to shift events to change the future, or allow history to unfold without interference. The idea that history is like a river flowing through time that cannot be changed might be true, but by nudging its direction just a little, an alteration could have a profound effect on events that follow.
