This information book focuses on a child's day in a French primary school, in a village in Eastern France. The school normally opens its door at 8:20. There's usually a two-hour break for lunch (11:30-13:30). Pupils can either go home or go to the canteen. They do not eat a packed lunch in class. From the end of lessons at 15:45 to 17:00, teachers or teaching assistants look after the children who take part in activities (this is called TAP: temps d'activites periscolaires) which are different in each school.
