This teacher's guide is part of a five-year German course for the National Curriculum which has been designed specifically for pupils taking German as a first foreign language from year 7. It also provides an alternative "fast route" through the materials for those starting German in year 8. At this fourth stage the needs of a wider ability range are catered for by the provision of two parallel sections. "Rot" covers GCSE grades A* to C and "Gruen" covers GCSE grades C to G. The overlap between the books enables the students following the lower book to have the opportunity to reach grade C. This lower-level teacher's guide accompanies the student book and includes grids showing coverage of the programmes of study and attainment targets. Ideas for simplifying or extending the activities are provided along with opportunities for using IT. Also available at this fourth stage are a student book, a resource file, an assessment pack and a cassette pack.
