"Cross Country" is a four-level course for ten or 11 year old beginners. Features include: initial slow pace, increasing as pupils gain more confidence; regular grammar units involving the pupils in active understanding; systematic pronunciation practice; vocabulary learning through cognates; active participation in building up word banks; listening based on dialogues, songs, music, special effects - and children's voices; introduction to English-speaking culture in relation to the pupil's own society.
